| For the 2003
festival, we performed A New Brain, immediately following our
regular Tallahassee run. Cutting the through-sung, intermissionless 98-minute show
down to competition length (60 minutes maximum) was quite a challenge, and composer
William Finn had to approve the cuts personally! Four productions participated in the community theatre festival. As always, our show played to the largest and most enthusiastic audience of the festival. We received awards for Best Sound Design (Tony Serna, Zach Cramer, Scott Freese) and Best Musical Direction (June Dollar). At the annual meeting of the Florida Association of Community Theatres, Eric Hurst and Chris Gorsuch were re-elected to the Board of Directors. |
